OPERATION LOVE

A program that houses two large areas:
1- Emotional and spiritual support
2- Response to natural or human disasters

EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT

The spiritual and emotional support is to provide comfort and hope to people who face a crisis situation, it is a ministry of immediate presence where we walk next to the one who suffers these emotional attacks, caused by traumatic experiences that can affect different areas in the being human.
This is where the emotional and spiritual support contributes to stabilizing the victims, increasing their coping capacity, resilience and reducing stress and anxiety levels.

We have a team of professionals, duly certified in crisis intervention, including psychologists, pastors, counselors, doctors, nurses, and others.
This team has been trained by Canadian and US professionals in the following areas:
• Individual Crisis Intervention, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Crisis Intervention with Children, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Group Crisis Intervention, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Care Consulting
• Spiritual and Psychological First Aid, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• When Grief Follows Trauma, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Emotional and Spiritual Care in Disasters, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Sharing Hope in Times of Crisis, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

RESPONSE IN NATURAL OR HUMAN DISASTERS

Operation Love is the AME program prepared to respond in emergency situations caused by natural or human disasters. Some examples of frequent natural disasters that occur in our country are: earthquakes, floods, landslides….. and human disasters such as fires, robberies, murders…..

Moving Hopes – AME responds to a disaster situation:
• Supplying supplies of first need to the affected people and Bibles for spiritual comfort.
• We provide emotional and spiritual support when a disaster of natural and human origin occurs with individual crisis intervention and sharing hope in times of crisis.

For people who suffer from a traumatic experience like this, being able to tell their story, express the emotions they feel and be listened to in the right way is very healing.
