Operation Love is a program that houses two large areas:
1- Emotional and spiritual support
2- Response to natural or human disasters
It involves providing comfort and hope to people facing a crisis. It is a ministry of immediate presence where we walk alongside those suffering these emotional shocks and traumatic experiences, which can affect different areas of the human being.
This is where emotional and spiritual support contributes to stabilizing victims, increasing their coping capacity and resilience, and reducing stress and anxiety levels.
We have a team of professionals, duly certified in crisis intervention, including psychologists, pastors, counselors, doctors, nurses, and others.
This team has been trained by Canadian and US professionals in the following areas:
• Individual Crisis Intervention, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Crisis Intervention with Children, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Group Crisis Intervention, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Care Consulting
• Spiritual and Psychological First Aid, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• When Grief Follows Trauma, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Emotional and Spiritual Care in Disasters, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
• Sharing Hope in Times of Crisis, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
Operation Love is AME’s program to respond to emergency situations caused by natural or human-made disasters. Some examples of common natural disasters that occur in our country are earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc. Human-made disasters such as fires, robberies, murders, migration, etc. are also common.
Asociación Moviendo Esperanzas (AME) responds to disasters by:
• Providing essential supplies to affected people and Bibles for spiritual comfort.
• We provide emotional and spiritual support when natural or human-made disasters occur, with individual crisis intervention and sharing hope in times of crisis.
For people suffering from traumatic experiences like these, being able to tell their story, express their emotions, and be heard in the right way is very healing.
We invite local churches, grain producing companies, wholesale food distributors, volunteers, to contact us: info@moviendoesperanzas.org
